HEY LADIES

The finale Breeders' Cup races on Friday will be the Juvenile Fillies, the F and M Turf and the Ladies Classic, all with $2 million purses.

The fillies will negotiate a mile and a sixteenth and will attempt to emulate last year's winner Stardom Bound, who came from second to last to win going away in 1:40.99 while posting a 94 Beyer.

Over the years, since the Beyer figures became a public number, Tempera in 2001 posted the top digit at 107 and only two other fillies posted a triple-digit figure.

Blind Luck completed the Deb exacta at Del Mar but raced very greenly that day and has plenty of upside to her.

The best of times, the worst of times could be in order for Worstcasescenario, a New York interloper, who will be out to make amends for the chalk flop in the Matron at Belmont.

Awesome Maria could very well be the now horse. She was dead short in the debut but has a nice stalking style.

She Be Wild has talent and will get her lessons from high-profile trainer Wayne Catalano.

The Filly and Mare Turf was added to the extravaganza in 1999. The Beyers for the race have been very consistent, between 105 and 112 and last year Forever Together recorded a winning 105 figure.

In the win, Forever Together, who was coming off a score in the Grade 1 First Lady at Keeneland, came from seventh and 4 back to power home the win.

Forever Together will likely be back to defend her title. Nine for 18 career, she was just beaten a nose in the Canadian at Woodbine but will have an extra eighth of a mile to run down the speed on BC Day.

Western fans can pin their hopes on Magical Fantasy, who has a home court thing going on since she took a Grade 2 at Santa Anita last spring. She is pace dependent but can kick with the best of them.

A European import that rates a long look if she comes is Midday. Trained by Henry Cecil, who has trained a ton of Group 1 winners, the filly is coming to the race right after posting a career best 120 Racing Post Rating taking the Group 1 Nassau at Goodwood in August. She has a potent kick and should be a hint of a price.

The Ladies Classic, at 9 furlongs on dirt, was previously named the Distaff and former winners ranged from Princess Rooney, to Inside Information to last year's heroine Zenyatta, who remained perfect with a 108 Beyer after coming off that same winning digit in the Grade 1 Vanity.

That superstar will be back for more in all likelihood after her Lady's Secret win on October 10 when she was in hand to the wire under Mike Smith and will be a prohibitive chalk with her freight train delivery late.

If you want to beat her two come to mind. Music Note has come back solidly and will offer and argument but Careless Jewel may be the better option.

Jewel won the Alabama in eye-catching fashion despite trouble and proved her ability on the synthetic with two wins at Woodbine.

Everybody will be value after Zenyatta.
